Sometime, when you have both a personal computer as well as an Android smartphone and you want to transfer files either for backup purpose or for watching recorded videos on bigger screen, then SHAREit is a useful program. Alongside Android, it is also available as a standalone installation application for Windows for its offline usage. You only need to download and install it on your Windows computer, assuming that you already have it installed on your Android device.
SHAREit is one of the most widely used applications for transferring files between two Android devices and it satisfactorily shows sufficient transfer speed. Although it may vary according to device specifications (such as RAM, processor and other hardwares) but it is superior than Xender in performance - another popular multi-platform application for file transfer.
SHAREit is available for Android, iOS (iPhone), Windows Phone, Windows and Macintosh.
In this post, I will provide step by step instructions on how to install and run the SHAREit program and transfer files between laptop and Android smartphone.
1. First of all, you need to download its desktop version from the below provided link. Don't worry, it is safe and free from viruses and malwares.

9. After the interconnection between laptop and Android device is completed, you will finally see the file explorer option on both side of SHAREit for selecting the files you would like to transfer.

Finally, your Android smartphone and Windows computer are interconnected via WiFi and are ready to transfer files between the two, without needing any data cable or OTG USB drive. There is no any limitation on the size of files for transfer, and the transfer speed depends on the capacity of the RAM as well as processors of the two connected devices.
File transfer between devices thus became easier and hassle free.
